If art is natural, than surely nature creates art as well, and it us up to us as artists to be aware of the world around us, to take in the art of the world. One such example is Abstrait de la nature by *Malheureux, which showcases the Van Gogh-esque patterns of this wood, crafted by nature for its own sake, yet found and framed for us by Malheureux for us to enjoy. very nice job, great tones texture and design
but from a critiquing point of view the entire lower left hand corner distracts my eyes from wondering much around that area, to look at this photo and be absorbed by it I have to keep my eyes on the upper right hand corner because anytime my eyes wonder anywhere near the lower left, they are sucked right to the area
now on the other hand the more you look at the photo, and the more you study it, the more this initial distraction disappears and you can appreciate the photo as a whole.
Just something to be aware of as a lot of initial viewers might be put off by it if they do not put the time into the photo to be able to look at the whole thing in its own right.
